Our Belief
I believe that everybody has the ability to achieve their weightloss or fitness goals. One thing must be realized, you must put forth a maximum effort in order to shed excess weight or strengthen your bones. It is not an easy task. It takes persistence, commitment and dedication to yourself and to your trainer. It takes both parties doing their part to reach the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is for you to have the best health possible.
I know that if you eat six small meals based upon your unique metabolic fingerprint you will have nothing but success. You are an individual and your height and weight has nothing to do with a recommended amount of calories that someone would have you to believe. I am six feet tall and weigh 195 pounds and so does my friend. My rest metabolic rate is 3300 kcal and my friends resting metabolic rate is 1853 kcal. We are so far apart because I have 30% more lean muscle than my friend.
The more lean muscle you have the more calories (food) your body requires. Muscle is constantly at work. It generates and gives off heat and requires energy(calories) to do this. So the more muscle you can add to your body, the more calories you'll burn-even at rest!
As a trainer I find out your metabolic rate through a testing procedure and with your number I determine what my approach is in helping you reach your goal. Even if personal training is not your thing any one who aspires to reach their fitness peek must know their resting metabolic rate. Otherwise you are shooting darts in the dark it's a hit or miss situation. That's why some reach their goal and some give up quickly!
